Historische Weiherschleife
Watch guides work agate on large sandstone grinding wheels driven by a waterwheel, using the cutting methods of earlier centuries, alongside a multimedia show and a mineral room.
The visit
Why it is worth the trip
This is the last waterwheel-driven agate grinding mill on the Idarbach, and it shows the physical process that turned a local stone deposit into an international cutting trade.
