Effective and last updated · 12 August 2026Terms of use
By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
GemsVerified is a register and publishing platform for gemstone dealers. Profiles and listings may be dealer-supplied or compiled from identified official sources. They are not offers by Zaffirro Ltd. Any enquiry, negotiation or purchase is directly between the visitor and dealer on the dealer's terms. We are not a party, broker, escrow agent, appraiser, laboratory, insurer or financial, legal or investment adviser, and we take no sales commission.
Dealer accounts must provide accurate, current and lawful information, hold the rights needed for uploaded text and media, disclose material product facts, protect account credentials and promptly correct errors. We may edit for house style without changing a material claim, request evidence, decline publication, suspend content or withdraw access to protect the register.
You must not misrepresent an identity, business, product, verification status or affiliation; upload unlawful or infringing material; interfere with security or availability; send spam; scrape or bulk-extract the register except through an authorised feed; reverse engineer restricted systems; or reproduce GemsVerified marks without written permission and current qualifying standing.
Plans are annual. Free is $0, Verified is $750 and Trade Partner is $2,000, unless an agreed written order states otherwise. Charges buy publishing allowances and review work, never a mark, ranking outcome or score. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not erase charges already earned or override statutory refund rights.
Product-page, taxonomy and team limits follow the active plan. When a plan ends or is reduced, we may prevent new content or require content above the allowance to be archived. Verification status may lapse independently of the commercial plan.
GemsVerified content, design and marks belong to Zaffirro Ltd or its licensors. Dealers retain ownership of their material and grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, edit for presentation, reproduce and distribute it for operating and promoting the register until it is removed, subject to reasonable archival and legal retention.
We may update these terms for legal, security or operational reasons. We will change the date above and, for material account changes, provide reasonable notice through the account or registered email where practical.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
Verification and liability disclaimer
We review submitted documents, public records, dealer websites, listing disclosures and, where applicable, inspection material using reasonable care and skill and to the best of our ability at the recorded review date. Checks are risk-reduction measures, not a guarantee that every document is genuine, complete or current, that a dealer will act properly in future, or that every error or fraud will be detected.
A Listed record has not completed verification. A Verified or Live-verified mark describes the evidence review recorded for that dealer at that time. The GV Score is a formula-based summary of recorded evidence. Neither a mark nor score is an endorsement, insurance policy, credit assessment, warranty or recommendation to transact.
We do not independently certify or appraise individual stones. Product identity, natural or synthetic status, treatments, origin, weight, dimensions, condition, ownership, price, availability and value can change or be disputed. A listing or profile must not be treated as a laboratory report. Obtain the current report, verify it with the issuing laboratory and use an independent qualified adviser where the transaction warrants it.
You are responsible for your own due diligence, contract, payment method, insurance, import and export requirements, taxes and remedies. Confirm all material claims, return rights, delivery terms and dealer credentials directly before paying. External websites and social profiles are controlled by third parties; a link does not make us responsible for their content, availability or security.
Although we work to correct supported errors, the site and its content are provided on an as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access, continuous availability of any dealer or listing, or that content will meet a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zaffirro Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or data, arising from use of the site, reliance on register content, an external site or a transaction with a dealer. This does not remove liability where an exclusion would be unreasonable or unlawful.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of duties that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
If you identify an inaccuracy or have evidence of misconduct, contact hello@gemsverified.com with the relevant dealer or listing and supporting records. We may place content under review while we investigate, but cannot adjudicate private contractual disputes or recover funds on a user's behalf.
Privacy notice
Zaffirro Ltd is the controller of personal information handled through GemsVerified. Contact hello@gemsverified.com or write to our registered office for a privacy question or rights request.
We collect application and claim details, business contacts, account identifiers, authentication and security records, verification evidence, profile and listing content, Dealer Match requirements, enquiry correspondence, support messages, plan and payment references, audit history and technical records needed to secure and operate the service. Dealer activity measurement records page impressions, profile and listing views, outbound clicks and enquiry events using a one-way session hash; raw IP addresses are not stored in the analytics table. We do not intentionally collect special-category data and ask users not to submit it unless specifically required and agreed.
We use information to provide accounts and plans, screen and verify dealers, publish the register, relay enquiries, prevent abuse, maintain evidence and audit trails, handle concerns, comply with law and improve reliability. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract, steps requested before a contract, legitimate interests in operating a secure evidence-led register, legal obligation and, where required, consent.
Business profile information is public by design. Private contact details, account data and evidence are visible only to authorised personnel and service providers except where disclosure is required by law, needed to establish or defend legal claims, or expressly requested by the person concerned.
We use contracted providers for database and authentication, hosting, storage, security, email delivery and, when activated, payment processing. Some processing may occur outside the United Kingdom; where required, we use an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioural advertising.
We keep active account and verification records while the account or standing exists; unsuccessful application records generally for up to 24 months; Dealer Match requests, enquiry and support correspondence generally for up to 24 months; dealer activity events generally for up to 24 months; security and audit records generally for up to 7 years; and financial records for the period required by tax and company law. We may keep a restricted record longer where necessary for fraud prevention, disputes or legal claims, and delete or anonymise information when no longer needed.
You may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability where the relevant right applies, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing. We may need to verify identity and may retain information where law or compelling legitimate grounds require it.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address the concern first, but contacting us is not a condition of complaining to the ICO.
The service is intended for business users and not children. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. If you believe a child has supplied information, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
