Business identity, certification practice and disclosure statements are supplied by the dealer or sourced from the public record.

Documents are checked against laboratories, company registries and the dealer's own published claims. Every check is dated.

A sourced record is not a verified profile. Status is always shown next to the record — never blended into a score you can pay for.
Unclaimed records are pre-approved for free claim by their owners until 31 October 2026.

Origins
Every origin page ties the register's dealers to the deposits they actually cut — 18 sources, from Ratnapura to Muzo.
The GV Score
The GV Score is computed from recorded evidence: 35% verification, 20% certification practice, 20% disclosure, 10% reputation, 10% responsiveness and 5% standing. Components with no evidence are left out rather than scored zero. Payment contributes zero.
The journal
A dealer in Bangkok sends three photographs and a PDF, and the PDF is what you are really being asked to trust.
A fine loose stone crosses borders in a parcel the size of a paperback, and it does so safely thousands of times a week.
The document that arrives with a serious coloured stone is short, and much of it is of no consequence at all.

Timed catalogues hosted by verified dealers and approved auction houses. Signed Lot Passports, server-authoritative bidding, no platform buyer's premium.

GemsVerified records source provenance and reviews submitted business, identity, certification and disclosure evidence. A sourced record is not the same as a verified profile; verification status is shown separately.
The score weights verification evidence at 35%, certification practice at 20%, disclosure completeness at 20%, external reputation at 10%, responsiveness to buyer briefs at 10% and trade standing at 5%. Where a signal has not been collected the component is left out and its weight shared across the rest, so no dealer is marked down for evidence we do not hold. Payment contributes zero.
No. Membership and sponsorship do not increase the GV Score. Dealers improve it by supplying stronger, current evidence and completing their profile and product disclosures.
Confirm current availability, pricing, treatment, origin claims and laboratory reports directly with the dealer before buying. GemsVerified assesses available evidence but does not appraise or guarantee individual stones.
