Gem-A describes GemINTRO as suitable for beginners and enthusiasts and the Gemmology Foundation as suitable for all skill levels, so courses are open to people outside the trade. Student membership is included with enrolment except for GemINTRO-only learners; teaching is also delivered through accredited centres in 19 countries.
