Treatment disclosure

The obligation to state, in writing and at the point of sale, every treatment a stone has received. Natural is not disclosure, since it only rules out synthetic origin, and silence is not disclosure either. Proper practice puts the treatment on the listing and the invoice, supported by a current lab report. On GemsVerified, disclosure is a condition of admission: every listing states its treatment, with none recorded as an explicit choice, and a dealer's disclosure practice is part of what verification checks.
